Advent is a season of waiting in expectant hope for the fullness of Christ's Kingdom to break in today, as we remember the season of longing and hope for a Messiah before the birth of Christ. To wait expectantly is to make space for the anticipated One. This Advent in our worship services, we prepare for the good news of Christmas by meditating on the New Testament lectionary readings from Romans and James.
We have collaborated with friends at Southpoint Church in Surrey in sharing resources for the development of the materials for this season. Each Sunday you can pick up a prayer card provided to meditate further on the scripture and art, and to try some of the suggested practices.
